Why Migration
Migration of the ONG token to the new SOMEE token will allow you to hold the governance token for control on the platform and give you the ability to STAKE SOMEE for more SAT on the platform.
What you should know
If you hold your token on an EXCHANGE, such as a CEX/DEX, and that exchange DOES NOT give you access to the wallet it uses, which olds your tokens, then you will need to TRANSFER your token FROM that exchange to an ERC-20 compatible wallet to do the migration steps in this article.
THIS MIGRATION IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE USER, not the project, and cannot be avoided. They are YOUR tokens and must exist in YOUR wallet with some ETH available to migrate.
If you purchased ONG on an Exchange with something other than ETH: For those of you who may have purchased with something like USDT or another type of coin, then you will still be able to migrate. The above statement still applies. It would be best to transfer these tokens to an ERC-20 compatible wallet, and then you can transfer ETH over to that same wallet. If you don't have any ETH, but you do have things like USDT or BTC, you can always swap from those to ETH and transfer them to your wallet to cover the migration fees.
What you will Need
In order to do the migration, you will need:
- All of your ONG in an ERC-20 compatible wallet
- MetaMask installed in order to control that wallet
- ETH balance in that same wallet
- Cookies, Wine, and maybe a balloon or two
Migration Process
The migration from ONG to SOMEE follows the following path:
- System approves the MAX number of ONG in the connected wallet
- System creates a transaction for the DESIRED amount to transfer to SOMEE
- System processes transaction once user confirms.
The approval process is such that you won't have to reapprove unless you approve more than your previous approval; you won't have to approve more than ONCE to transfer multiple times.
When Done with Migration
To see your SOMEE token in your MetaMask wallet, you must add the SOMEE Token as a custom token. You can do this by following this guide: https://metamask.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015489031-How-to-view-see-your-tokens-custom-tokens-in-Metamask
Our contract address is: 0x65F9A292f1AEED5D755Aa2fD2Fb17AB2E9431447
WHAT YOU SHOULD NEVER DO
Please make sure you follow this guide exactly. You are doing a token approval and migration. You ARE NOT DOING A SWAP. This means that you SHOULD NEVER send your tokens to a smart contract - ever. Why? Because doing so will cause those tokens just to vanish. A smart contract is simply a router, telling things where to go and how things work. It is NOT a wallet. Tokens sent to it just vanish into the ether.
If you follow this guide and do the steps, which will a) approve the token transfer, and b) set up the token transfer THROUGH the smart contract and to the new SOMEE token, you'll have success.
FOR ANY PROJECT: NEVER, AND WE MEN NEVER, DIRECTLY SEND YOUR TOKENS TO ANY SMART CONTRACT ADDRESS.

How to Migrate on Web/Desktop/Laptop
Click to go to Mobile Instructions
Follow the below steps to migrate your token:
Visit https://convertong.somee.social
Once there, click on the blue 'Connect to MetaMask' button.

You will then be prompted to log in to MetaMask. NOTE: This requires MetaMask to be installed on your system. If you don't have MetaMask installed on your browser, please visit https://metamask.io/

If you are on Web/Desktop/Laptop: Once you are logged into MetaMask, you'll see your balances as well as balance in the MetaMask window

From here, you can focus just on the main SoMee migration window, not the MetaMask one. You can now change the number of ONG you would like to migrate in the 'Amount of ONG to Convert' field:

Once you have entered how much you want, you can click on 'Submit Migration,' which will bring up the confirmation window.

Clicking Confirm will bring up the MetaMask login window and migration screen.

From here, you will need to log in to your MetaMask account. Simply enter your password, or import your wallet using your seed phrase, to activate MetaMask.
IMPORTANT
DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING IN THE CONFIRMATION WINDOW AT THIS TIME!!!!
Once logged into MetaMask, the system will show you the Approval window.

This window will allow you to reject, confirm, or click edit to control the transaction. In our case, I clicked on edit to change the gas fees:

From here, you can choose the desired speed of the transaction and see the associated cost. Once you click the desired fee or press save, submit the transaction with MetaMask for approval. You'll then see this in the confirmation window:

MetaMask is now processing your approval. This window will update once more information is available. In the yellow box there, you'll see that it's pending the approval process. Once the approval is confirmed, it'll switch to creating transactions. To see the progress of your approval, you can click the link above that yellow box that is the link to EtherScan.
IMPORTANT
WHILE THIS WINDOW IS UP DO NOT CLICK ON THE PROCESSING BUTTON AGAIN!!!!!!!!
Once the process is done with approval, MetaMask will pop back up with your 2nd transaction, which is the actual migration:

From here, review the information and press 'Confirm,' or you can press edit to change the gas fees. I usually just press confirm to take the default gas fees.

Once the transaction is submitted, your migration process is finished for the amount you wished to transfer. You can check the progress of your transaction in the MetaMask window or by clicking on the link that the site shows you (as seen above).
Confirmation
TO CONFIRM that the process is completed, you can refresh the page and click Connect TO MetaMask again after your transaction is done. This will show you the SOMEE balance has changed.
NOTE: You must wait for your transaction to complete before doing this step.

As you can see from the above image (if you compare it to one of the first in this article), the amount of SOMEE has increased, and the amount of ONG has decreased. This shows that the transaction was successful.
